Among the aisles of

twice and thrice used jeans,

never used hockey sticks

cookie tins

are invisible boxes of muted

wants

diverted impulses

staggered desires

I am trying to remember

the exact definition of thrift

was it about things bought cheaply

or things not bought at all?
